Our Technology teams
We are proud to be a business that has a fast growing and dynamic IT Department. Our technology teams consist of over 60 colleagues who work together to deliver change that drives our business forward.

Management Information - This team produces vital data for key business decision making at all levels. They work with technology such as SQL server to paint a picture of real performance and ensuring data is reliable and accurate.
IT Operations - This team helps to solve internal and external customer needs. They contribute to Verastar’s growth by creating the highest level of efficiency possible for end users through technology.
Software Development - This team comprises various disciplines such as Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, Software Engineers, and User Experience (UX). They aim to deliver fast strategic implementations allowing Verastar to remain innovative, competitive and diverse with its use of technology.
Infrastructure - This team looks after the hardware, software, networks, facilities and related equipment used that allows Verastar to deliver IT solutions. They are the foundation that supports our IT systems and business.

Richard Rudkin, has been with Verastar since 2013. His role as CIO has a broad mix of technology and programme management. He oversees all aspects of Technology including our IT teams, and is responsible for delivering overall group business strategy.

The IT teams are structured to support people coming in at all levels. If you are motivated to succeed we can offer a range of support including specialised accredited training, an assigned technical ‘buddy’, regular development meetings and a structured approach to building a wider business understanding.

Verastar is quick, nimble and decisive. We look at new challenges, dissect them with agility and deliver at the earliest opportunity with the confidence that our solution is solid. We use technology to promote innovation and our goal is to always be ahead of our competition. Our technology enables us to have a one-bill solution that nobody else in the world can boast!
What advice would you give to someone looking to join the IT Team?
It’s all about desire. We will give you the technical skills to develop your career. All you need is to have a ‘can do all’ mindset. We are full of valuable ideas and need great people to help keep pushing the dream into realisation. Turn up with a good attitude and plenty of fire, and we’ll ensure your career goes places!
