We are proud to announce that Verastar had another successful night at the Call North West Contact Centre Awards with a whole host of finalists and Customer Service Team Manager Josh Lynch taking home the trophy for Hero of the Year.
The annual Call North West Contact Centre Awards showcase the hard work and achievements of the industry across the region with 20 awards. Last year, Verastar received Highly Commended for Best People Development celebrating the work of the Learning & Development Team with the 300+ strong Contact Centre.
The 2019 awards took place on Friday 18th October at The Midland, Manchester and saw Verastar named as finalists in a mighty seven categories with a total of nine nominees, including both individuals and teams. Thirty colleagues from Verastar attended the evening from across the business, including Customer Service Advisors and members of our Senior Management Team, all with one shared goal of supporting our finalists and celebrating our achievements over the last year.
Made possible by the Call North West, their Event Partner Marsh Marketing and headline sponsors by 8×8 in partnership with Everycloud Communications, the evening once again impressed all with fantastic food and entertainment. The awards were opened by Call North West Manager Director Jane Thomas who shared that the standard of entries this year was higher than any other, the rest of the evening was then wittily hosted by Dev Griffin of Radio 1 and Strictly Come Dancing fame.
Josh Lynch, Technical Team Manager, was nominated internally by his peers, manager and wider business colleagues as our Hero of the Year not only for his exceptional technical knowledge but also his passion and drive for the business and our customers. We were delighted to see that the judges were in agreement as he was announced Hero of the Year in the North West.
On the win, Josh said:
“It was such a great night for me and all the finalists at the Call North West Contact Centre Awards. I really didn’t expect to win, especially when I saw all the others in my category. I was over the moon when they announced my name! It’s not about the trophy for me though. Winning this award gives me clarity and confirmation that the work I have been doing has meant something to a lot of people and made an impact – and it means even more that the judges liked what they read in my submission.”
