Verastar, a leading provider of essential business services is hugely proud to have recently pledged support to the ‘When you wish upon a Star’ charity over the coming 12 months. Verastar recently marked the start of the year-long partnership by raising an impressive £4,000 for the charity during its initial ‘When you wish upon a Star week’. The week-long series of internal fundraising events took place in October with employees all participating in a number of events including World Food Day, a sponsored ‘wax on…wax off’ and ‘VeraStars in your Eyes.’ In response to such a great achievement from its people, the company has also agreed to triple the amount raised – meaning a final total of £12,000 is being donated.
‘When you wish upon a star’ grants wishes for children suffering life threatening or terminal illnesses. Year after year the charity provide children with amazing experiences including swimming with dolphins, trips to Lapland to meet Santa Claus and Disneyland to meet their favourite characters. Since 1990 the charity has fulfilled wishes for over 16,000 children across the UK.
