Brave Verastar employees pushed themselves close to their pain thresholds all for charity yesterday as Verastar continued its ‘Wish upon a Star Week.’
Male team members Matt Parry, Joseph Willets, Matthew Haughton and Derek Beswick from our Training & Development, Product Management, Customer Care and Provisioning departments respectively all bravely put themselves forward to have their legs waxed to raise money for our sponsored charity ‘When you wish upon a Star.’
The creatively named, ‘Wax on … Wax off’ challenge took place yesterday and we can confirm that all team members completed and survived the ordeal! All have confirmed they are happy with the results, but are not convinced the outcome was worth the pain.
The pain was, in this instance however, very worthwhile as they all managed to raise a great deal of money for the ‘When you wish upon a Star’ charity which does unbelievable work providing experiences for children suffering from terminal illnesses.
The volunteers have been busy raising funds over the past couple of weeks and the final amount is still being tallied. Verastar would like to thank the volunteers and everyone donated for all of their efforts.
