The Company’s customer base includes c. 10% of the UK’s small businesses. We have grown considerably since inception and currently serve over 155,000 micro SME’s. We have a diverse and expanding workforce of over 900 staff across 14 offices.

WHAT IS THE GRADUATE PROGRAMME?

If successful, you’ll be joining in a full-time, permanent position, beginning with a 12-month structured programme to gain experience across a wide range of business areas.

This programme is designed to deliver key skills that will be essential to you in building your future career with Verastar. Specifically, these include people management, teamwork, project management, leadership and stakeholder management. You’ll gain these skills from four key aspects of the Verastar Graduate Programme;

Throughout the programme you’ll also be set additional projects and assessed on a regular basis to ensure you are meeting your objectives successfully. We aim for it to be a challenging yet supported experience that fast-tracks your career with Verastar.

Salary Journey – should you be successful you will quickly benefit from salary increases:

• Starting salary £20,000
• After 3 months on programme – £20,750
• After 6 months on programme – £21,500
• After 9 months on programme – £22,250
• On completion of 12 months – £23,000

SUPPORTED PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

As well as the 2-week induction training you’ll benefit from when you first join the programme you’ll also receive the following;

  • Regular development reviews with a member of our Learning & Development Team
  • A self-assessment booklet (PDP) to use in each area with weekly catch-up meetings with team managers
  • An assigned buddy within each team to support with general queries
  • Coaching from the managers / coaches / buddies in each team
  • Development Session’ training events once a month focused on supporting key skills
  • Support on project activities from key stakeholders

TAILORED CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

The programme isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ approach to developing your career. We look to work with you to decide on a role that suits your skills and experience. After 3 months in the programme you’ll confirm two choices for your future role and you’ll then spend time with both relevant teams in the last 6 months of the programme to gain vital understanding and confirm the fit for you. Once you move successfully through the programme you will have built the perfect foundation to make a real impact in your eventual new role.
