Business Analyst (Software Development)

What you’ll be doing

As a Business Analyst you’ll work closely with project managers, software development and operations teams across the business to create and improve internal systems and processes. The role is focused around supporting the design and implementation of processes and procedures. This exciting opportunity will enable the successful applicant to work across the business on a multitude of different projects and product areas.

Your role will also include

  • Work with senior management, understand business cases and strategy, help to determine route to value.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand, validate and document current state business processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis into business processes, document, and drive improvement.
  • Survey, analyse and evaluate processes, products and services.
  • Present recommendations to senior management and work with them to facilitate decision making.
  • Work with operational stakeholders, IT and project managers to mitigate risks and issues.
  • Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to determine requirements.
  • Keep a written record of recommendations, requirements and decisions made.
  • Manage roll out of process change and oversee testing and quality checks, along with resolving issues found.

We’re looking for people that have

  • Minimum 2 -3 years’ professional experience of business analysis.
  • Proven ability to see problems from different angles and to solve them.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to anticipate risks and issues and to respond to unforeseen changes.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Experience in people management including the ability to lead, influence and negotiate.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • A desire to challenge the norm.
  • Drive to succeed and take on new challenges.
  • BCS certificate/ diploma in business analysis, Lean 6 Sigma, Agile BA desirable although not essential.

The ideal candidate will be personable, persuasive, innovative with a strong character and be comfortable dealing with people at all levels. They must have a “can do” attitude and be able to think logically to overcome challenges and see changes through from start to completion.
