Employee Relations Manager

Our people are the beating heart of our business and an integral part of success and that why we’re looking for an experience Employee Relations Manager to help us deliver an exceptional people strategy. The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for facilitating employee relations and resolving human resource issues on behalf of Verastar, dealing with everything related to employee and management relations. You’ll work with the Head of People Services and the wider HR team to determine priorities that enable a clear Employee Relations agenda whilst managing a high-volume caseload.

Your role will also include but not be limited too;

  • Ensure all activity is completed in line with SLAs, regulatory standards, GDPR and quality policies.
  • Support in addressing conflicts that arise in the workplace, striving to resolve them in a positive manner that benefits all parties and facilitates healthy work relationships.
  • Advise and train managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and colleague grievances. Develop further training as needed.


To be considered for this role you’ll need a successful track record of working in an Employee Relations team (ideally in a high-volume environment) and possess the emotional intelligence required to be an authentic leader; displaying good judgement and robust decision making.

You will have excellent attention to detail, a concise communication style and be passionate about delivering a service that exceeds all expectations. Building meaningful relationships will be second nature to you as you’ll need to be able to influence senior stakeholder’s decision making using factual data.

Candidates that are CIPD qualified with a background in Information Technology, Utilities and/or Service provision are highly desired.
